This directory aims to highlight the number of community services and resources available to the residents of this area.

The title of the directory acknowledges that this land has been, and continues to be, the territory of the Gitxsan and Wit’suwit’in and that many of us are newcomers and visitors to this land. In an effort to support social and cultural restoration of the Gitxsan and Wit’suwit’in people, we have used local language and reclaimed names where we are aware that they are in use as it is important that we recognize the value of the living languages on the territories upon which we reside. We are all learning together and will continue to evolve our resources to best reflect the needs and values of our communities.

The original directory was created in 2017 as an initiative of the Wellness Task Force.
