Hazeltons’ Harvest Hustle
- Apples and Bears and Wasps, OH MY!!
Storytellers’ Society is piloting a new project aimed at making good use of the edible fruits grown in our area while reducing concerns around food waste, wasps, and nuisance bears. We will connect folks who have an overabundance of tree fruits, berries, and produce with people who would enjoy the work of harvesting and sharing the bounty.
Hazelton’s Harvest Hustle:
• Is a community-based initiative that harvests surplus fruit from private backyard trees and bushes that would otherwise go to waste.
• Aims to harvest summer’s overabundance of tree fruits, berries, and produce and distribute this bounty to those who can use it!
• Connects fruit to people and people to people!
• Provides a fun, active outing in great company!
